Most Awesomest

April & Barkley

This is April & Barkley. They're the best beings. One cooks great and is the most lovliest woman in the world. The other one poops and pees a lot, loves unconditionally and has the funniest smells. Guess which is which??

December was the best month of the year! All the work was done, the last checks rolled in and time to spend some of it. We went to mammoth twice! The snow was a bit of a bummer because there wasn't any, but it was really cold and there were definitely some fun boarding runs open. We took the dogs up to a cabin in convict lake which was a real hassle, but overall very glad to have done it. It's a good memory.

November was a bit of a blur. Here are the major things that happened and some pics:

From Oct 13 2011 till today I've been working non-stop, nights and weekends. I've managed to fit in a few nights of celebrate recovery and a couple softball games, but that's about it. Getting a bit tired from work, but it's almost over. COD Elite launched and was a complete failure, for so many reasons. Ace combat is about 12hrs from launch and is looking to go pretty smoothly. Here's the summary of the month:

Almost Christmas...again...

It's been quite a while since I wrote anything in here. I guess I go through cycles, sometimes I'm all gung ho and excited about life, and sometimes I'm not. When I'm excited, I write more, actually make facebook posts and try to bring a little happiness into the world. When I'm not...well, I'm kind of boring, selfish and hermetical.

So, here's what's been going on:

April's a good time

Some pics of my life partner. She makes life so much better, easier and fun. Can't really have pics of her without pics of the dogs though.

Mt. Waterman

So we got these cheapo tickets on Groupon for Mt. Waterman for $25. Mt. Waterman is a back woods (for California...) ski lift above La Canada. Like a couple of co-dependent, needy parents, we decided it would be a good idea to bring our dogs! Oh man, what a stroke of genius. Two nervous, panting, drooling, needy dog-childs for the 3 hour trek there. That was mildly fun because we I got to not drive. I get too pissed off when the dogs are all up in my business whilst I'm navigating traffic, so April forces me to sit in the passenger seat while she calmly causes the world to be at peace.

Diary of a Vegetable: Polish

I put some polish on the garden box. I did quite a lot to it since the "Planter Box" phase:

Diary of a Vegetable: Seedlings

The seedlings are starting to grow! April planted some seeds in a mini greenhouse deal. She planted lots of yummy stuff like tomatoes, cucumber, zuccini, chard, lettuces, basil and some spices. Hopefully we don't kill them...they're kind of tender.

Diary of a Vegetable: Planter Box

Screwing some wood together to make a raised garden that is kind of a green-house. Hopefully we can grow some stuff. The dimensions are roughly 3' high, 3' deep, 8' long. The dirt should be around 12" deep...if we even need that much. I priced the wood based on the designs and it looks like it'll run about $200 for all the wood, screws and plastic sheeting that will wrap it once it's screwed together.
